Good to know
The practical details, answered before you have to ask.
Weather policy
Flies only when it's safe and comfortable. If the morning call grounds the flight, your day moves to a fallback date, not a cancellation.
Group size
Two to six guests per helicopter. Larger groups can be split across two aircraft — ask us.
Pickup
Starts and ends at the V&A Waterfront helipad, Cape Town. Hotel transfers can be arranged on request.
Dietary
Tell us vegetarian, vegan, halal or allergy needs ahead of booking — every estate restaurant can accommodate.
What to wear
Layers (it's cooler in the air) and flat, closed shoes for the estate gardens and cellars.
Best season
September to April for clear flying; June to November for southern right whales on the Walker Bay route.

Helicopter wine day FAQs
Our pilots make the call on the morning based on conditions. If it isn't safe or comfortable to fly, we agree a fallback date with you before you book, so your day is moved, not lost.
