The Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, set against the mountains near Hermanus, is one of the Cape's coolest wine regions — and one of its most prized. Here, ocean breezes and high rainfall create the perfect conditions for elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The valley is divided into three wards, each with its own microclimate, and is home to estates that have put South African cool-climate wine firmly on the world map.
