Why this tour
A group wine tour is the simplest way to do the Winelands properly: a scheduled day, a small group, and a local guide who knows which cellar doors are worth knocking on. You share the route and the cost — and still get the estates, the tastings and the long lunch.
Our group days run through Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Constantia, with three or four estates, a cellar tour and a lunch nobody rushes. The itinerary is fixed; the day is not hurried. It's the best-value way to spend a day in the vines, and the easiest to say yes to.

The Winelands is better shared. Strangers over breakfast, friends by Franschhoek.
What makes it special
The highlights
Built for sharing
A small group of fellow travellers — no minimum numbers, no waiting for a coach to fill.
Best per-person value
One guide, one vehicle, split across the group. The full Winelands day, without the private-day price.
Collection on most routes
Several group days collect from selected Cape Town areas. Where a route doesn't, we arrange the transfer.
Three to four estates
Guided tastings, a cellar tour and a long vineyard lunch — the whole circuit, unhurried.
Is this your kind of day?
Who it's for
Couples and solo travellers
The full Winelands day, without paying for a private guide all on your own.
First-timers
A local handles the route, the timing, the bookings and the driving. You handle the wine.
Good company
You'll trade a little flexibility for better conversation and a far better price.

How the day unfolds
Timings shift with the season and the estates on the day — but the shape of it stays the same.
- 08:30
Collection
Collected from a central Cape Town point on routes that include transport, with the day's route explained on the drive out. Transfers can be arranged where they don't.
- 10:00
First estate
A guided tasting to set the tone — usually a classic Stellenbosch cellar, with a cellar tour included.
- 12:00
Second stop, second glass
Another estate, another style of wine. Time to ask the winemaker questions and find something you didn't expect to like.
- 13:30
Long vineyard lunch
A proper sit-down lunch at an estate restaurant. No rushing, no fixed return time.
- 15:30
Last tasting
A final estate on the way home, then the drive back with the windows down.
- 17:30
Back in Cape Town
Dropped back in the city by early evening.
