Established in 1714, Montpellier Wine Estate is a historic farm in the Tulbagh Valley renowned for its rich heritage and award-winning wines. The estate features a picturesque hillside chapel, a Cape Dutch homestead, and expansive grounds that serve as a popular destination for weddings and events. Guests can enjoy a variety of experiences, including wine tastings, picnics, and stays in their rustic farm-style accommodation.

Tasting details
Montpellier offers wine tastings in a glass house or garden shaded by old oak trees. Visitors can enjoy Methode Cap Classiques, still white wines, and still red wines, including unwooded Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz. Cheese platters are available Monday–Thursday, 10:00–16:30. Pizzas are available Friday–Sunday, 10:00–16:30. The Kiddies Pairing Menu includes three non-alcoholic beverages paired with three snacks, and the Kiddies Build Your Pizza option lets children create pizzas with their choice of toppings.
