Drostdy Hof is a historic wine destination located at De Oude Drostdy in the Tulbagh Valley, offering candlelit tastings and a heritage museum. It is renowned for producing approachable, expertly blended wines that capture the essence of Cape winemaking tradition.
Established in 1964 and based at the historic De Oude Drostdy magistrate's building (built in 1804), Drostdy Hof is a cornerstone of the Tulbagh wine route. The estate offers a unique tasting experience in the candlelit underground former prison, surrounded by a museum housing a significant collection of early Cape furniture. Known for its 'Pure Country' philosophy, the brand produces a wide range of accessible reds, whites, and rosés sourced from top vineyards across the Western Cape.
