The property's owner, Franco Afrique Technologies (FAT), achieved a significant milestone by being one of the first companies selected in 2015 to develop a commercial Solar Photovoltaic Farm in South Africa, exemplifying their commitment to innovation and sustainability. In terms of winemaking, Franki's Vineyards has chosen to focus on Grenache, Viognier, and Mourvèdre as its preferred grape varieties. Notably, they have adopted the unconventional goblet-style vine trellising method, setting them apart in their approach to viticulture.

Franki's Vineyards stands as a pioneering enterprise that deliberately deviates from the traditional norms of the local wine industry, starting with its unique selection of grape varieties and extending to the specialized 'goblet' vine training system. They allocate 22 hectares of their estate to the cultivation of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Viognier grapes, from which they produce a limited and carefully curated range of wines. This deliberate departure from convention reflects their commitment to crafting distinctive and exceptional wines.
