Established in 2022, Uitkyk Eatery brings a fresh culinary experience to the Calitzdorp Cellar grounds. This rustic pop-up bistro has quickly earned a loyal following for its traditional Sunday lunches, slow-cooked oxtail, flavourful curries, and the now-famous adult milkshakes. Seasonal menus keep the offering vibrant and locally inspired. The name Uitkyk—meaning "lookout"—is fitting for the eatery's spectacular position, offering sweeping 180-degree views over the Gamka Valley. With its cosy stoep, warm hospitality, and charming ambience, Uitkyk is also available as a venue for private celebrations, weddings, and parties, ensuring that each occasion is as memorable as the setting.

In response to growing interest from visitors around the world, Calitzdorp Cellar introduced a dedicated tasting room in 1978—a move that further established the winery as a must-visit stop along Route 62. Today, guests can sample the full range of wines in a relaxed and welcoming space, with knowledgeable staff offering insights into the cellar's history and winemaking techniques.
