The estate

The pioneer of the Plett Wine Route and the first wine estate this far east of the Western Cape. A laid-back boutique vineyard in The Crags famed for its Sauvignon Blanc and Méthode Cap Classique, mezze platters and vineyard picnics.

Bramon Wine Estate 2000c holds the distinction of being the first wine estate this far east in the Western Cape, pioneering vineyards in the picturesque Plettenberg Bay region. Located just 20km from town in The Crags, this boutique 250-ton cellar estate transformed the local landscape when it planted its first Sauvignon Blanc vines, leading to Plettenberg Bay's classification as a Wine of Origin region.

Known for its award-winning Méthode Cap Classique bubblies and still wines, Bramon has been instrumental in establishing a "Sparkling Wine Route" in the area. With new owners at the helm and exciting plans underway, the estate continues to build on its reputation as one of the most sought-after destinations along the Garden Route.

Wine

Bramon's wines are a celebration of innovation and quality. From traditional and non-traditional MCCs to elegant still wines, their portfolio has earned numerous national and international awards, including multiple double gold Gran d'Or accolades. The cool coastal climate and mountainous terroir lend themselves to crafting wines of finesse and complexity. Bramon's success has inspired a wave of new vineyards in Plettenberg Bay, cementing the region's reputation for sparkling wine excellence.

Dining

The estate's restaurant, set among the vines with panoramic views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and nearby elephants, is a firm favourite for both locals and visitors. Serving fresh, flavour-forward tapas-style dishes, the menu is unpretentious yet refined, designed for sharing and savouring alongside Bramon's wines. With indoor seating for 80 and space for 100 more outdoors under a newly added awning, guests can enjoy the estate's signature indoor-outdoor ambience year-round, with a central fireplace to keep things cosy on cooler days.

Weddings

  • Wedding ceremonies in the gardens or cellar; cellar seats up to 150 guests.
