In the lush, rolling hills of The Crags, at the heart of the Plettenberg Bay Wine Route, lies Kay and Monty Vineyards – a small, family-owned wine farm with just under eight hectares under vine. This is South Africa's smallest "Wine of Origin" production area, and here, wine is crafted with a fierce love of family, a respect for tradition, and a passion for creating unforgettable moments. The converted orchid greenhouse serves as both a charming tasting room and a bright, glass-walled restaurant, offering guests a relaxed setting for long, unhurried lunches. The venue also doubles as one of Plett's most sought-after wedding destinations, set against a backdrop of vineyards and the lush hills of the estate's 220 hectares.

Wine
Kay and Monty Vineyards produces four boutique wines – a Sauvignon Blanc, a Rosé, a red blend, and a Méthode Cap Classique – all remarkably easy-drinking yet highly acclaimed by the industry. In the 2023 edition of Platter's Wine Guide, the SAV 2020 and The Chick SMG Red Blend 2021 each earned four stars, while the Champu 2017 MCC was awarded 4.5 stars. Every bottle reflects the vision, hard work, and determination of a small but dedicated team, producing wines that are as approachable as they are memorable.
Dining
The restaurant and tasting area are housed in the beautifully transformed orchid greenhouse, with a cosy fireplace, bar, and expansive glass walls inviting in the surrounding views. Dining is family-style and unhurried, with seasonal sharing boards piled high with local cheeses, cured meats, fresh country bread, preserves, and fruit – the perfect complement to a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a glass of the much-loved MCC.

The contemporary function venue can seat up to 200 guests.
