As a prominent South African producer, Villiera Wines is acclaimed for its award-winning Cap Classique and still wines. Pioneers in the bottle-fermented wine category since 1984, the estate, under the guidance of Simon Grier since 1983, has been steadfast in its commitment to excellence and consistency. Villiera has cultivated a strong reputation for varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet, embodying the unique terroir in Stellenbosch that defines the estate.

The expansive Villiera vineyards, managed by Simon Grier with assistance from Christie Franse and Wayne Daniels, cover approximately 170 hectares. With a deliberate focus on fruit quality, yields are kept conservative at 8 tons per hectare. The vineyard portfolio is evenly split between red and white varieties, producing 40% Cap Classique, 30% red, and 30% white. Villiera emphasizes productivity, implementing innovative pruning techniques taught by the renowned Italian company Simonit and Sirch to enhance uniformity, longevity, and overall vine quality.
