Reyneke Wines is a leader in biodynamic viticulture, producing organic, terroir-driven wines in the heart of the Stellenbosch Polkadraai Hills.
Region: Stellenbosch
In 1988, the Reyneke family acquired the 90-acre farm Uitzicht, located on the ridge of the Polkadraai Hills, offering spectacular views of Stellenbosch. Johan Reyneke began converting the farm from conventional farming to organic practices, eventually adopting biodynamic principles. Reyneke Wines became the first farm in South Africa to achieve certification by Demeter International, the most widely recognised biodynamic accreditation body in the world.

Reyneke Wines’ holistic approach to viticulture and agriculture has elevated the quality of their wines, known for their exceptional aroma, taste, and mouthfeel. The farm produces several wine ranges, including Reserve, Biodynamic, Organic, and Vinehugger. Notably, they produce a red blend named The Capstone, with proceeds supporting the farm workers and their families.
