The estate
Two wine brands under one roof in Paarl: Landskroon’s classic Paarl reds and Survivor’s Swartland wines, tasted side by side on the Suid-Agter-Paarl Road.
Landskroon has been farmed since 1692 and was in the hands of five generations of the De Villiers family. It’s known for generous Paarl reds and its Port-style wines. Since 2025 the brand and cellar have been part of the Van Loveren family, which also owns Survivor Wines. Today both brands share a tasting room at Landskroon.

Wine
Survivor wines come from old Swartland bush vines grown on decomposed granite, and the range includes Reserve Chenin Blanc, Reserve Pinotage and Cap Classique. Guests can choose the classic Landskroon tasting or the Survivor Terroir tasting, or try both to compare two very different corners of the Cape. Self-catering cottages on the farm make it an easy base for exploring Paarl.
Dining
While Landskroon does not feature an on-site restaurant, guests can savour the Winelands Cheese Platter, showcasing a selection of three cheeses accompanied by jam and melba toast, offering a delightful complement to the estate's exceptional wines.
