The Avondale Wine Estate produces premium-quality wines and is committed to maintaining a balanced vineyard ecosystem. The vines are well tended to ensure that the grapes are of the highest excellence and bursting with flavours. Avondale vines are planted in one-hectare blocks where the cultivars are matched to soil types.

The focus here is on quality and not quantity and each block yields between four and eight tonnes of healthy grapes. The wines of the Avondale Wine Estate are certified organic and are distributed across the globe. These wines are naturally made in the state-of-the-art 500-ton capacity wine cellar that contains three stories built into the riverbed.

At the foot of the Klein Drakenstein mountains, FABER at Avondale serves delicious organic and seasonal food with modern finesse. In every dish, Chef Dale Stevens emphasises respect for the origins of what we eat and drink; appreciation for the narratives of each ingredient; joy at the creativity of each gastronomic process, whether contemporary or bygone; love for the power of food encounters to make guests happy. The restaurant's veranda overlooks vineyards and a sweeping valley, which is punctuated by Paarl Rock, the silhouette of Table Mountain and the Simonsberg.
