The estate
A family winery revived by the sixth generation of the Bouchers, La Boucher makes bold reds from the Bottelary Hills and welcomes guests for private tastings at Slaley Cellars.
The Boucher family arrived at the Cape as French Huguenots in the 1600s. In 2013 the sixth generation revived the family's winemaking, and today Kwagga and Marica Boucher run La Boucher in partnership with the Els family.

About
Wine
The grapes grow on old granite soils on Cape View farm, on the Bottelary slopes, cooled by Atlantic breezes. The range includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and the Pierrè.
