Wine Tasting & Pairing
Koelenhof keeps wine tasting relaxed and good value, with a standard tasting of five wines of your choice from R80 per person. For something sweeter, you can pair five wines with handmade Belgian chocolates, match four sparkling wines with sweet treats, or try the estate's most popular pairing: six wines with three sorbets and three gelatos. Wine lovers can add a cellar tour on weekday mornings or afternoons, which needs to be booked a day ahead. Kids aren't left out either, with a grape juice tasting served with treats and an activity sheet.
In winter (May to August), a soup-and-roosterkoek pairing makes a cosy lunchtime stop. The tasting room is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays, with the last tastings an hour before closing.
