Gary and Kathy Jordan have been producing world-class wines on a farm with a 300-year heritage since 1993. Ted and Sheelagh, Gary’s parents, purchased the now 164-hectare Stellenbosch property in 1982 and began a massive replanting operation, focusing on classic varieties. Since 1993, it has been clear that a new star has been added to the winemaking constellation, and the focus is on producing fiercely unique wines that combine the fruity accessibility of the New World with the traditional refinement of the old. Cap Classique Blanc de Blancs, the well-known Nine Yards Chardonnay, Cobblers Hill Bordeaux Blend, and the Sophia are just a few of their offerings.

Jordan Restaurant is one of the Cape Winelands’ true culinary pioneers and remains a must-visit for lovers of fine food and wine. Since opening in 2009, it has set the standard for contemporary farm-style dining in Stellenbosch, pairing exceptional cuisine with sweeping vineyard views.

At the helm is Head Chef Marthinus Ferreira, whose influence on South Africa’s modern food scene is widely recognised. With experience gained alongside some of the world’s most respected chefs, including Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, Chef Marthinus brings a confident, thoughtful approach to the table.

Menus are guided by the seasons, with locally sourced produce and surrounding farms taking centre stage. Each dish is carefully crafted to highlight flavour, freshness and a strong sense of place, creating a dining experience that feels both refined and grounded.
