Founded by golf legend Ernie Els, this Stellenbosch estate is renowned for its premium Cabernet Sauvignon-led blends and exceptional hospitality in the heart of the Helderberg.
Ernie Els Wines, founded by four-time Major champion golfer Ernie Els in 2002, has quickly become one of the most sought-after wineries in the region thanks to their acclaimed Bordeaux blend named Proprietor's Blend. Their attractive tasting room also offers visitors stunning views from its elevated location above Stellenbosch Valley.
Wine
Since the winery's inception in 2005, the emphasis has been on producing a diverse range of wines, with a special emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon. Their premium wine assortment includes everything from crisp and fruity Chenin Blanc to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style Blend.
Dining
In a delightful open-plan area that stretches out onto a terrace with picturesque views of Stellenbosch and the Helderberg mountains, savour modern farmhouse cuisine at its finest. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the summer, they also offer Grillworks, where your chosen dry-aged cut is grilled on our outdoor Grillworks fire (weather permitting).
