The estate
On the R44 at the foot of the Helderberg, Eikendal pairs its wines with cheesecake, Italian food at Cucina di Giovanni, sunset tractor rides and a lodge among the vines.
Located on the slopes of the Helderberg, Eikendal Vineyards combines modern viticulture with Old World techniques to produce exceptional noble varieties. Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences, including Italian-inspired dining at Cucina di Giovanni, seasonal tractor rides, and self-guided vineyard walks. With a dedicated lodge for overnight stays and specialized kiddies' tastings, it is a premier destination for families and wine enthusiasts alike.
Wine
Eikendal makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. Tastings run from Tuesday to Sunday, from a three-wine Express to a vertical tasting of five vintages.
Dining
Cucina di Giovanni serves Italian-inspired food with vineyard views, for lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. Bookings are by phone.

Tractor Rides & Full Moon Experience
On weekend afternoons from September to April, tractor rides tour the vineyards. From October to April, the Full Moon Experience takes guests by tractor to the top of the farm at sunset with a glass of wine.
Vineyard Walk & Cellar Tour
A 2.5 km self-guided walk winds through the vines with mountain views, and weekday cellar tours show how the wines are made.
Family Visits
Children get their own Kiddies Tasting, with flavoured milk and cookie decorating, and time to explore the farm.
The Island
A private braai spot on the farm dam with a boma and lookout deck, for up to 30 guests. Bring your own food; Eikendal supplies the wine.
