De Toren Private Cellar is a boutique estate in the Polkadraai Hills, renowned for pioneering South Africa's first five-varietal Bordeaux-style red blends. Founded in 1997, the estate blends Old World winemaking tradition with modern precision, producing structured, age-worthy reds from low-yielding vineyards.
Wine
De Toren is best known for its flagship Fusion V — a five-varietal Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot — and its Z blend, a Shiraz-driven expression. Wines are hand-harvested, gently pressed and matured in French oak, with extended barrel ageing to build structure and complexity. The estate's commitment to low-intervention winemaking lets the Polkadraai Hills terroir speak through every vintage.
