Constantia Uitsig, nestled in the oldest wine-producing region in the Southern Hemisphere, is a testament to the rich history of winemaking in the Constantia Valley. Originally part of Simon van der Stel's expansive Constantia estate, it has evolved into one of the distinguished wine estates along the Constantia Valley Wine Route. Dating back to 1685, Constantia Uitsig offers a haven for work and play, embodying centuries of winemaking tradition.

Situated beneath the slopes of Table Mountain, Constantia Uitsig benefits from the crisp Atlantic ocean breeze and a mild climate, resulting in exceptional wines for over three centuries. As one of the lowest-lying farms in the valley, its fertile soils are particularly conducive to producing world-class whites, including Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Constantia Uitsig offers a culinary experience with two restaurants: the Blockhouse Kitchen and La Grotto Ristorante. The Blockhouse Kitchen, open Tuesday to Saturday, provides a family-friendly environment with a shaded playground, offering delicious meals made from fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced ingredients. La Grotto Ristorante, a newer addition, promises authentic Italian cuisine crafted from organic ingredients and pairs exclusively with Constantia Uitsig wines.
