Tucked away on the slopes of the Langeberg Mountains, Bushmanspad Estate is a hidden gem offering spectacular views, soul-soothing tranquillity, and an authentic taste of country life in the Robertson Wine Valley. Surrounded by the changing colours and moods of nature, this scenic estate provides an immersive Winelands escape, where fine wine and peaceful nights under the African sky await. With five self-catering cottages and a serene atmosphere, Bushmanspad invites guests to unwind, explore, and connect with the land.
Wine
Bushmanspad crafts terroir-expressive, handcrafted wines by marrying new world conditions with old world finesse. The estate is rooted in a philosophy that celebrates nature's role in the vineyard—nurturing the land to produce fruit of exceptional quality. In the cellar, simplicity and respect for the grape guide the process, allowing the natural character of each varietal to shine. Under the creative partnership of winemaker Aldert Nieuwoudt and proprietor Britt Salamonsen, the estate produces a range of elegant wines made from outstanding French varieties.

While there is no restaurant on the estate, Bushmanspad is located within easy reach of the region's charming cafés, bistros, and wine farm eateries. Visitors can enjoy farm-style breakfasts, rustic lunches, and gourmet dinners just a short drive away.
Experiences
Bushmanspad offers a peaceful yet enriching stay for guests looking to experience life among the vines. Enjoy guided or self-led scenic vineyard walks, relax with some fishing or swimming in the farm dam, and take in the incredible sunsets that colour the African sky.
