The estate
Arra Vineyards is a scenic estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands, offering premium wine tastings and gourmet cheese platters with stunning views of the Klapmuts Mountain.
Arra Vineyards is nestled in the heart of South Africa’s Cape Winelands and boasts a prime location north of Stellenbosch in Paarl. Here, they cultivate, produce, and bottle all their wines on-site. The Klapmuts Mountain is vital, providing ample water, sheltering the vines from harsh winds, offering ideal soil composition, and ensuring ample sunshine with its north-facing slopes.
Arra meticulously cultivates over 30 hectares of vines on their 74-hectare estate. These vines produce a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Ruby Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz, and Pinotage. Committed to the quality of their wines, Arra employs only the finest French oak barrels for maturation, which can last up to 24 months. This meticulous process allows them to achieve deep, fruity flavours and a creamy texture. At Arra Vineyards, patient ageing ensures their wines reach peak maturity in the bottle before being released for purchase.
