Belfield Wines emerges as the smallest wine estate in the Elgin Valley, a renowned wine region situated in the Western Cape of South Africa, just an hour's drive from Cape Town. The estate takes pride in producing three small-batch wines sourced from three distinct single vineyards on the property. Attention to detail is ingrained in every aspect of Belfield's operations, from the creation of hand-crafted wines to the thoughtful touches in their cosy self-catering accommodation. The ethos at Belfield revolves around savouring life's simple joys, inviting guests to partake in these pleasures through a glass of wine, strolls in the picturesque gardens, or indulging in a few days of countryside bliss.
Wine
Belfield's unique terroir, ideally suited for the production of elegant red wines, contributes to the creation of three small-batch wines from three single vineyards. The estate, positioned in the cooler climate of Elgin, mirrors the conditions found in Bordeaux, enhancing the quality of the wines.
Dining
While Belfield does not have an on-site restaurant, the farm cottages are self-catering and offer braai facilities. Further afield, guests can explore the town of Elgin where they'll find a great selection of dining options.
