Barnardt Boyes Wines is a distinguished name in South African winemaking, bringing together tradition, family heritage, and artistic flair. Although it does not operate a traditional wine estate with a tasting room, its presence in the wine world is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and collaboration. The brand is best known for its close partnership with Carrol Boyes — the iconic South African homeware designer — and for creating wines that echo the aesthetic and quality of her collectable creations. Together, Barnardt Boyes and Carrol Boyes have curated a portfolio that reflects elegance, design, and excellence in winemaking.
Wine
The Barnardt Boyes wine range includes a variety of award-winning wines, with a particular highlight being the collaboration on the Carrol Boyes range. One of the most prestigious additions is the Carrol Boyes Iconic Champagne — a true French Champagne made in partnership with the Charbaut family, whose Champagne vineyard dates back to 1936. This limited-edition release (only 1,000 bottles) is made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the Grand and Premier Cru vineyards of Champagne. Aged for 11 years on the lees, it offers fine effervescence and exceptional balance. It stands as a tribute to craftsmanship, family legacy, and a decade-long friendship between South African winemaker Hendrik Snyman and the Charbaut family.

There is no dining facility at Barnardt Boyes, but their wines — particularly the limited-edition Champagne — are made for pairing with fine cuisine. Whether served at an elegant event or a private dinner at home, these wines elevate any meal. Visitors can purchase the Iconic Champagne online or at the Carrol Boyes flagship store in Somerset West.
