Founded by Ntsiki Biyela, South Africa’s first Black female winemaker, Aslina Wines is a premium brand rooted in heritage and excellence.
Aslina Wines is the brainchild of Ntsiki Biyela, one of South Africa's most respected and admired winemakers. Established in 2016, Aslina embodies the strength and determination of Ntsiki's most significant influence — her grandmother, Aslina. Today, the winery is renowned for its exceptional, world-class wines, a testament to Ntsiki's dream and dedication.
Wine
Ntsiki's journey began in the rolling hills of Zululand, but her life took a transformative turn when she discovered her passion for crafting captivating wines in the Cape Winelands. Aslina Wines pays homage to her beloved grandmother and proudly reflects Ntsiki's Zulu heritage. The label, a unique calabash design, is a creative twist on a traditional clay drinking vessel typically used for beer. With a touch of creative flair, Ntsiki transforms the calabash into a symbol of her distinctive wines, adding grapes to the design.
