Rising above the quaint town of Franschhoek, Wildeberg is a wild and untamed slice of mountain that captures the imagination. While this established wine region has been producing wines for over 350 years, it wasn’t until recently that a group of visionaries decided to plant vines on this steep hillside. Located at the edge of the Cape’s Coastal Region, Wildeberg’s property extends over the mountain, bordering the road to Grabouw and the Western Cape. Here, Wildeberg embodies the rugged beauty and diverse terroir of the region, offering wines and experiences that are as awe-inspiring as the landscape itself.

Wine

Wildeberg’s wines reflect the captivating character of the Franschhoek Valley. The winery’s Wildeberg Terroirs range extends beyond their home vineyard to showcase a collection of exceptional sites across the Cape. Their compact barrel hall hums with the activity of wild fermentation, while a small winery is in development to continue its journey.

Wildeberg provides three unique accommodation options for the discerning traveller:

• Wildeberg Manor House: A luxurious self-catering home nestled among vineyards, offering four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge, and an outdoor patio with a swimming pool. Perfect for up to eight guests seeking relaxation and stunning views.
• Dam House Cottage: A secluded retreat with breathtaking views, an open-plan layout, and a private patio overlooking a dam. Ideal for couples or business travellers seeking peace and relaxation, it features a kitchenette, lounge area, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
• Elephants Trail Cottage: A cosy open-plan cottage located on the wine farm, with a double bed, separate bathroom, kitchenette, lounge, and Wi-Fi. The cottage has a patio with mountain views and access to a swimming pool, perfect for couples or business travellers looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.
