Topiary Wine Estate, nestled in the heart of Franschhoek, offers a unique blend of French expertise and South African charm. Originally a fruit farm, Topiary transformed in 2005 with the arrival of acclaimed Burgundy producer Philippe Colin. Captivated by the 64-hectare estate, Colin brought his winemaking magic to Franschhoek.

The dramatic Klein Drakenstein mountains create a picturesque backdrop for the winery. Vineyards sprawl across the lower slopes, cooled by a natural wind tunnel formed by the surrounding Hottentots Holland and Simonsberg ranges. This ideal climate fosters even ripening, resulting in elegant and expressive wines.

Topiary produces a curated selection of wines, including Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their meticulous sorting process ensures that only the highest-quality grapes reach fermentation. The winery pays homage to its fruit farming roots by maintaining a plum orchard alongside the vines, promoting biodiversity on the estate.
