About Seven Sisters Vineyards
Seven Sisters Vineyards is not just a winery; it’s a testament to the enduring spirit of a family. Situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, Seven Sisters stands out as one of South Africa’s unique 100% black-owned wine farms. Their story is about resilience and determination, overcoming adversity to achieve a dream. The Brutus family, originally from Paternoster, a charming West Coast fishing village, faced a life-altering event when their father lost his job. This led to the family’s eviction from their home and dispersal, separating them for years. Two decades later, the sisters reunited, driven by a shared vision – to establish a family business celebrating their heritage. With Vivian Kleynhans (née Brutus) leading the way, Seven Sisters Vineyards was born.
