Rijk’s experiences a Mediterranean climate with calm summer winds and low-yielding shale soils, making it ideal for growing Chenin Blanc and Pinotage.
Only Chenin Blanc and Pinotage are the focus of Rijk’s Wine Estate. They have experimented with and tested numerous varieties to support their belief that these wines best suit the climate and soil. In addition, they produce a Cap Classique Brut and a Pinotage Rose. Shop their wine here.
You can anticipate authentic farm-style, traditional South African food at their restaurant. They genuinely want to emphasize the delicious flavours of South Africa and the cuisine of our history. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you want something light with the award-winning wines, there is also a cheese board and charcuterie board option.
