Named in 1994 after Niel Joubert, the farm’s third-generation patriarch, the brand stands as a tribute to a legacy of horticultural excellence and independent winemaking.

Spanning 260 hectares, the vineyards of Niel Joubert Wines thrive under the unique microclimate of Simonsberg Mountain. Cooling Atlantic breezes and diverse soil compositions provide the ideal environment for crafting wines of character and complexity.

White Varietals: Sauvignon Blanc flourishes on the cooler, high-altitude slopes, preserving its crisp and delicate flavours. Chenin Blanc, grown as bush vines on lower terrain, offers concentrated flavours due to minimal irrigation. Chardonnay enjoys the warmth of the lower vineyards, developing rich, full-bodied profiles.

Red Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the highest mountain slopes, while Shiraz is cultivated in stony soils to enhance its bold character. Grenache Noir, Pinotage, Cinsault, Malbec, and Merlot round out the red offerings, each varietal thriving in carefully selected locations to reflect the estate’s unique terroir.
