Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden — The tour begins at 08:30 at Kirstenbosch, founded in 1913 on land bequeathed by Cecil Rhodes and now recognised as one of the world’s great botanical gardens. Part of the Cape Floral Region UNESCO World Heritage Site, the gardens showcase the extraordinary biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom — the smallest of the world’s six floral kingdoms, and the only one contained within a single country. From the gardens, the trail begins its climb up towards the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Cecilia Forest & Table Mountain Trails — The route continues through Cecilia Forest, part of Table Mountain National Park, along ancient tree canopies and mountain streams. The path rises to ridgeline viewpoints with sweeping panoramas across False Bay, the Cape Peninsula, and the vineyards of Constantia below. Along the way, your guide shares the deeper history of the Cape — the Khoekhoe and San peoples who called this landscape home for millennia, the early Dutch settlers, and the botanical explorers whose work shaped Kirstenbosch itself.

Is transport included from Cape Town?
Transport to and from Kirstenbosch is not included in the base price. Kirstenbosch is approximately 15 minutes by car from central Cape Town. Hotel pickup can be arranged on request for an additional fee. Guests are dropped off at the Constantia estate at 14:30.
