About Eikendal Vineyards
Eikendal Vineyards, standing proudly along the R44 between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, is a prominent establishment in the renowned “Golden Triangle” of wine production. The estate, spanning 76 hectares, has been under the ownership of the Saager family from Zürich, Switzerland, since 1981. Recognising the region’s potential, the Swiss owners undertook modernisation efforts, transforming Eikendal into a distinguished wine farm with its distinctive barrel-vaulted cellar and commanding fountain.

Eikendal’s purposeful viticulture and winemaking have positioned their range of wines as something extraordinary. With a combination of Bordeaux, Rhone, and Burgundian varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Shiraz, and Chardonnay, the vineyards yield exceptional quality.
