About Diemersdal Wine Estate
For six generations, the Louw family has honed their winemaking skills at Diemersdal Wine Estate, since they took over in 1885. Today, Diemersdal Wine Estate stands as a renowned landmark in the picturesque Durbanville Valley, one of the oldest wine regions in the Cape.
Visitors are invited to soak in the beauty of the valley while indulging in the exceptional Diemersdal wines at our inviting tasting room. The noble grape varieties that contribute to Diemersdal’s wines flourish in the optimal conditions of the Dorstberg’s slopes, with deep red Hutton soils lending their distinctive character. As part of the Wine of Origin Cape Town, the vineyards benefit from the cooling mists that roll in from the nearby Atlantic Ocean, imparting a unique touch to Diemersdal’s wines.
