About La Vierge Wines
La Vierge Wines is a meticulously created wine farm that draws its vivid and unique inspiration from the nearby Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, which is also home to the famous whale-watching town of Hermanus. The farm, located on an s-bend, provides the ideal vantage point from which to view the surrounding environment while sipping their award-winning wines or dining on a dish from their special menu.
The Johnson family founded the winery in 1997, but once the La Vierge family purchased it, substantial improvements occurred. These were finished in 2007, along with the architecturally exciting winery you see today: a tasting room, restaurant, balcony, and boules, a double-volume winery, and a sunken barrel maturation room.
